ANABOLIC STERIODS

The good and the bad.

Suprise, suprise, Anabolic Steroids actually work… that’s why they’re banned in sport and are (C1 rated) illegal.   They are so effective and addictive – you feel so strong and fatigue doesn’t set in at all. The temptation to continually push harder and harder is very real, however, there are side effects. For example, you can (literally) blow the connective tissue off your muscles. This happened to me.. I blew out my shoulder after pushing too hard and it took me 18 months to recover.

What exactly are Anabolic steriods?

Anabolic Steroids are drugs that imitate male sex hormones (specifically, testosterone) that help with the growth & repair of muscle tissue. When used alongside specific exercise and diet regimes, these drugs increase lean muscle mass, increase strength & endurance, help reduce body fat and help people recover from injuries more rapidly.

This all sounds great right? Wrong. Remember, Anabolic Steroids are a drug and there are no safe levels of drug use. Something to remember also is that (most) people on the internet are not endocronoligists and they know jack sh*t about steriod compounds.

Stop. Taking. Steriod. Advice. From. Random. Unqualified. People. On. The. Internet.

On that note, what do I know about steriods?

In the whole scheme of things not much, and I’m happy to admit that. What I do know however, is that if you don’t fully understand how these Anabolic Steroids work and how they will affect you, then you probably shouldn’t go down this path.

I’ve tried Anabolic Steroids a few times when I was in my early 20’s. I was taking advice from a mate of mine who was on gear and ‘had all the answers to my problems’. Looking back, he knew f**k all and gave me terrible advice (thanks bro). I didn’t have the training & nutriton knowledge back then that I do now, and I really didn’t get the results I was looking for from steroids. I did however, get some pretty gnarly side effects….

Conclusion:

Drugs are bad mmmkay.

Don’t do drugs mmmkay.

Unless you have been training 7-10 years and you have maxed your natural progression for training, there is literally no point. The 1- 7 years training age is a great time to put on some natural mass without all the side effects of steriods. Eat well. Train often. Sleep well. Enjoy life. Stay healthy for life… without drugs. If you want some guidance with this, we’re always here.

One of my values, and our business’ values, is HEALTH.  Health comes first, always. Drugs have no place in health.
